Judy Kutz
Judith Doreen Kutz was born on February 16, 1944, at home in rural Sykeston; the daughter of Carl and Alyce Kutz. She was the youngest of three children.
Judy lived in Sykeston, where she attended country school in Johnson Township. In 1990, she moved to Carrington with her mother. She later moved to New Rockford where she lived and worked at the transitional home. Most recently, she was living in Carrington at the ICF group home. Judy made many cherished friends through her years living and working with the 4th corporation.
Judy loved to sing and play guitar, collect and play with John Deere tractors, and collect hats. She enjoyed listening to country western music and watching western TV shows. Riding bike, coloring, and planning her next outing with her family were among her favorite pastimes. Most of all, Judy loved to make people laugh. She always had a story to tell, which usually included her mischievous nephews and nieces.
A highlight of Judy’s later years was a visit to the Grand Ole Opry and Graceland.
Judy is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who she adored; along with her dear friends and staff members at the 4th corp.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Alyce Kutz; her brothers and sister in laws: Lyle (Evelyn) Kutz, and Wallace (Marlys) Kutz; two nephews, Glen Kutz and Dean Kutz; and one niece, Kathy Zink.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the 4th Corporation, 120 11th St N, New Rockford, ND 58356.
Her Visitation will be Monday, November 23, 9:00AM-5:00PM at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2021.
Her Burial will be at the Sykeston Cemetery, Sykeston, ND.

So very sorry for your loss I really enjoyed working with her and she always had a joke for me
Work will never be the same without Judy! She was such a character and I loved her dearly! A few years ago she asked me very seriously if I would say a prayer for her! I said of course I would! I asked what she wanted me to pray about and she said she was going to play bingo that evening and she sure would like to win! Here’s praying that she wins many games of bingo in heaven! She’s with the family who went before her and will await for the rest of her family to arrive! She loved her family so very much!
Awe Judy i am going to miss you so much, you brought so much joy to all your nieces and nephews. RIP Judy, tell grandma Alice happy birthday from me please. I love you
I haven’t seen Judy for awhile, but always loved visiting with her. She was always so happy. She will be missed by all her family.
Memories of Judy make me smile…..rest in peace Judy🙏🏻❤️
I am remembering Judy today. I moved away when Judy was quiet young. When I went to Sykeston to visit I would see her. She was pretty talented, playing guitar, knowing music and always happy. She was so blessed to have Aunt Alyce and all of her nieces and nephews to care for her. Judy had a good life. Thank you to all who made it so.
Judy is riding her bike in heaven for sure! We shared many bike rides together the summers I came to Sykeston as a teen. We would usually stop for ice cream cones at the Hiawatha Cafe. You always made me laugh Judy and I will never forget your beautiful hearty laugh!!
So many wonderful memories we made together! Love you very much!!
Our family has such great memories of Judy over the years. We loved visiting Alyce, Carl and Judy when we were kids and neighbors. Judy always greeted us with her big hug and jovial laugh! Later when living in Aberdeen, we often saw Judy at the horse races and loved watching Judy cheer her nephews on. She was their biggest fan! Judy was so blessed by her family that loved and cared for her so dearly over the years. Sending our sympathy, love and prayers to Judy’s family and friends during this heartbreaking time.
As a youngster our family spent a lot of time with Judy, Carl and Alice. We played together so much and many great meals there and almost every time we gathered around that old upright piano and Judy’s guitar and sang our hearts out..plan to be there with you to do it all again. Thanks to everyone that helped Judy on her journey through life.
Oh, Aunt Judy, so many awesome memories, when you lived on the farm we would always get into mischief, as kids we would get to stay a week at a time, playing baseball, riding bike, tormenting Grandma’s geese,(for which we got many scolding yells from Grandma Alyce)!! Hauling square bales, milking cows, feeding the pigs! Best was the music, the beautiful guitars you had and played so magically…. Thank you Judy for being You….. I will miss your innocent perception of how a happy life should be lived… Love you Judy…
It has been many years since I saw Judy. I remember those times years ago when she played guitar and Alice played the piano and we all sang the time away.
Rest in Peace.
Heaven will welcome Judy’s talents in the choir of angels. Rest in piece Judy
So sorry to hear of Judy passing away. She was always fun to visit with and always so happy. If only the rest of the had her easy going way and outlook on life. The world would be a better place. She’ll be missed by all. Love and prayers to the Kunz family. Once again so sorry.
Get Judy a Cigar! Even tho there was no smoking in the bar, Judy was still allowed to have her Cigar! May she rest in peace and keep enjoying herself in this next phase of life.
