Chelton Turpela

Our beloved son Chelton James Turpela, age 29, passed into our heavenly father’s arms on August 22, 2021 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo ND after a brief battle with an infection. He was comforted and surrounded by his mother and father at the time of his passing.

Chelton was born April 15th 1992 in the city of Delta Colorado. He was the only son of Thomas and Tamira Grgich.

Chelton enjoyed Airsoft, shooting, Football, going to Fargo Force hockey games, gaming, D&D, golf, coin collecting and Anime. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandparents, rather it be fishing, spending time at an amusement park, spending time at a gun range, helping out on the farm or simply just stopping by and visiting for a while. He enjoyed attending Star Wars premiers, concerts and learning to fix cars with his dad. He enjoyed being an uncle even so much as to go out of his way to be the best damn uncle the world has ever seen. And most of all he was really looking forward to his first deer hunt this season after successfully passing his hunters safety and successfully drawing out for a buck tag.

Chelton is preceded in death by his grandpa Rodney Frank Grgich.

Chelton is survived by his parents Tamira Joyce Grgich and Thomas Frank Grgich, sister Chyann Keely Gladden, step sister Felicia Marie Grgich and half-brother Dakota Silva, grandparents Sharon Williams Grgich, Fred and Billie Roybal and Bill Turpela.

Chelton was a very special and kind person who was very much loved not only by his family and friends, but the community as well. He loved his job and the people he worked with at the local Cenex convenience store in Carrington ND where he always thought of them as family.

A special thanks to his D&D group for what they did in honor of him. We know Chelton very much appreciated it.

Chelton is already sorely missed and will continue to be forever. God’s speed son we miss and love you very much. Love mom and dad.

Chelton’s Visitation will be Friday, Noon – 7:00PM followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00PM all at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00AM at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.
