Ronald Peterson
Ronald (Ron) Peterson, age 72, of Valley City, ND, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2021 under the care of hospice at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City.
Ron was born in New Rockford, ND on April 8, 1949 to Rienold and Edith (Anderson) Peterson. Ron graduated from Cathay High School, Cathay, ND in 1967.
On July 11, 1970 Ron married Donna Lynn Broschat. They had a daughter Tami and a son Shane.
Ron worked various types of construction throughout his life. He enjoyed throwing League Darts in Devils Lake, ND and Valley City, ND.
Ron is survived by his daughter Tamara Elefson, Belfield, ND his son Shane (Teri) Peterson, Dickinson, ND, 2 grandsons, Matthew Elefson and Nathan Elefson, 2 granddaughters Madison Peterson and Irelyn Peterson; sisters Renea (Dareld) Bellquist, Fargo, ND and Mesa, AZ, and Rita (Kent) Tesch, Fessenden, ND; sister-in-law Barbra Peterson, Thermal, CA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother Keith A. Peterson; nephew Keith A Peterson Jr.
Ron’s Burial will be on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11:00AM at Lakeview Cemetery, rural Cathay.

Our prayers and sympathy to the family. We knew Ron from going to school. He was younger than both Leon and I.
Hugs to all of Ron’s family. I have so many good memories of Ron,he helped on our farm for many years. He even worked on our new house when we built.
Ron had beautiful eyes and such a cute smile back in high school. He called me about a year ago and we talked quite awhile about the good old days. Sorry for your loss.
