Shirley Thueson
Shirley A. Thueson, age 91, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius in Carrington, ND.
Shirley was born on February 23, 1932 in New Rockford, ND to Esther Swanson. She grew up in Sheyenne and graduated from Sheyenne High School. Shirley continued her education at Minot and Valley City Normal School.
She was married on February 26, 1951 to Richard Thueson at Grace Lutheran church in Sheyenne. They lived in Sheyenne and raised their family there. Shirley was very active in her community. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. #3969 Ladies Auxiliary, Daughters of the Pioneer, and the Degree of Honor. Shirley was very caring as she loved doing many things for others.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard, of seventy-two years. Their three children, Kathleen, Richard, and Tim (Lynell) Thueson. One grandson; Mark (Samantha) Thueson; a brother-in-law Gordon Hill; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; as well as her faithful dog, Ruby.
She was preceded in death by her mother Esther; two sisters Darlene Hill and Delores Benson.
Shirley’s Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 10:30AM at Grace Lutheran Church, Sheyenne, ND.
Her Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sheyenne, ND.
