Taylor Moon Drake started her journey on the Star Road, Saturday, January 13th, 2024 from health complications from influenza. Taylor was born August 17th, 1995 in Devils Lake, ND to Wambde Diaz and Bernadette Jackson (Robertson). Taylor grew up in Lakota, ND with her grandmother, Jennifer Drake and her husband, Chip Drake.  Taylor was a devoted mother to her two surviving children, Arielle (8) and Preston (2). She is also survived by her partner in life, Jesse Davis and his son, Dalton. They had built their family life together in Fargo, ND and had found happiness together being part of the native community attending church and inipi with their spiritual family. Taylor was a Sundancer and had a deep faith in Jesus.  She had just started college, studying Early Childhood Education and had a 4.0 gpa. She worked at Kroll’s Diner in Fargo and had made deep friendships there. Taylor was a bright light to everyone, with her beautiful smile and constant laughter. Her spirit was kind, generous and loving. The loss of Taylor has left a huge hole in our hearts and we will carry her memory forever.

Taylor is survived by family members who love her, including her fiancé, Jesse Davis; their children, Dalton, Arielle and Preston; her father, Wambde (Jennifer) Diaz; her second dad, Pernell Jackson; her maternal grandfather, Tom Robertson Sr.;  her paternal grandmother, Oralia Diaz; great aunt and uncle, Irene (Curtis) McKay, JR Diaz; her aunts and uncles, Rena Robertson and ‘Tiny’ Tom Robertson and Kelsey Feather; her siblings, Pernell Jackson Jr., Halle Jackson, Maria Jackson, Sadie Jackson, Terrell Jackson, Audrice Waalkens, Wambde Diaz Jr., Kalo Diaz, Heaven Diaz and Dayton Diaz.
