On October 27, 1956, Percy married the love of his life, Lois Siebert, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bordulac. Ranching was always a love of Percy’s, so when given the opportunity, he took over his father Percy Sr’s farm. You could often find Percy checking his cattle, as he loved spending time with his herd. He looked forward to attending the Mile City, MT Bucking Horse Sale the third weekend of May every year, his last year was in 2018 surrounded by his family. Percy and Lois attended the 1989 Montana Centennial Cattle Drive and even rode the 50 miles from Round Up, MT to Billings, MT.
He liked to tear down old buildings board by board to salvage the wood. He became an avid fisherman later in life and enjoyed his time out at the lake. Percy especially enjoyed spending time with his loving family. Percy was famous for his one-liners and enjoyed making others laugh.

I have so many great memories of your Dad and your family. So sorry for your loss.
My condolences to the Beckley Family!
When you hear somebody say, that guy was one of the Good Old Timers, that was Percy!
I know for a fact Percy and my Dad had a long close relationship since childhood.
I remember the time my Mom was in the hospital for a heart attack and I and Joe walked into the hospital room and there sat Percy with my Dad. Afterward, we found out Percy had been sitting with my Dad and Mom for 6 hours! Not because he had to, but out of Respect! The respect our Dads had for one another, translated into their boys having the same respect for each other.
My brother’s and I have reflected on the days we used to Hunt in the Beckley pasture. We got to Hunt there not because we deserved that right, but rather we got to hunt there due to our Dads having respect for each other and a relationship that grew from childhood on.
I never got a chance to thank Percy for allowing me, my brothers, our sons, our daughters and families to hunt on his land for so many years. It is those memories, that I, along with my Brothers, Truly cherish, “As the Good Old Days”!
When we think of back home, and memories made, the Beckley Pasture is on the list.
Thank you Percy!!!
Here to the Old Timers!
Sorry for Your loss. What a truly amazing Man with an amazing life. I first met him while I was waiting for an ice maker to cycle and struck up a conversation. He spoke of cattle drives. He was in western North Dakota and I could listen for hours of His well-told adventures. He had more energy in His 80’s than I had in my 40’s.
Percy was a true American cowboy. May he RIP. My condolences to a wonderful family.
Sorry to hear about your Dad.
Where do I begin?! Percy was one of a kind! I really enjoyed getting to know him! It was never a dull moment and always made me smile/laugh!!! My condolences to the family, he will be missed!
Charlotte and family, so very sorry for your loss and what a loss Percy was. He and my dad were such great friends and not so very long ago at your dads birthday party we got to watch that friendship as lively and entertaining as it was 70 years ago. As your dad, my dad, Derald and the 3rd musketeer no one else but Buffa laughed, hooted and drank beer and recalled all the good old days and the CRAZY things they did. They had a bond and friendship that lasted a lifetime. May you all find love and comfort in all of the memories he left you and know he is with your mom now and they are watching over all of you. your friend for ever and with love, Patty Connell
So sorry to hear of Percy’s passing. I had great respect for both Lois & Percy. Growing up “down the road” from Beckleys gave me such great childhood memories!
Deepest condolences from “the extra kid”.
Charlotte I will always remember Percy from the Safari club where Deloris always listed upcoming birthdays .Percy never forgot mine. For years he always bought me a birthday drink. Such memories you must have of him.
Sorry for your loss. Prayers to the whole family.
Sympathy to your whole family!
