Pearl was born July 4, 1940 at Kulm, ND, to John and Magdalina Ruff. She grew up and attended school in Kulm. She later moved to Ellendale where she worked at the hospital.
On July 1, 1967 Pearl was united in marriage to Glenn Eldridge. They made their home in New Rockford where they raised their 3 children. She worked several jobs, from painting and cleaning houses, to working in the kitchen at the school. The job she had the most passion for was her CNA work at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd. Pearl retired in 2019. Her favorite pastimes were her dish towels and baking. If you stopped by her house, you could usually find her embroidering dish towels. She was also a master at making kuchen, and usually around December she would make her famous fruit cake.
She is survived by her son, Randy of New Rockford; her daughter Lisa (Anthony) of Mercer, ND; two grandsons, Hayden (Krista) of Fargo, ND and Cory of New Rockford; two granddaughters, Jayden of Ada, MN, and Brooklyn of Mercer, ND; two great-grandchildren, Karsyn and Thielen; one sister, Mabel of Aberdeen, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; one son, Wayne; her parents; three brothers, Clarence, LeRoy, and Laverne; and two sisters, Viola and Delores.
Pearl’s Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 1:00-2:00PM followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00PM all at First Lutheran Church, New Rockford.
Her Burial will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford, ND.

So sorry to hear of your mother passing. She was a good worker and cook. Hugs to all.
Pearl always had a friendly greeting for us whenever we would meet. While working at the Lutheran Home she would go out of her way to say hello or wave. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and loved ones.
Randy, Hayden, Lisa and kids
Thoughts and Prayers are being sent to all of Pearl’s family and friends! I have known Pearl for seems like forever. She was a hard worker and would help anyone when she was able. She was a surrogate mother to so many of the kids that her kids brought home and many more that lived in the neighborhood. We have gained an awesome Angel.
