Beaty will always be remembered for her cooking skills, especially her Special K bars (also known as Beaty Bars), overnight buns, meatballs, and her homemade soup. Beaty loved all animals, especially her horses. She shared her love for riding horse with her family and friends on their trail rides. After raising their kids, they participated in many trail riders in Medora and planned at least one trip there every summer.

She was a very active member in the St. Johns Catholic Church for many years. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Gerards Circle and Card Club in Bremen, Homemakers, Circle Trail Rides, and the Red Hat Society.

  6. Oh my gosh! Beaty’s Special K Bars! Absolutely one of my best memories of her – I was always a little jealous when Jodi would have those in her lunch in elementary school. I remember Beaty being my 1st grade CCD teacher in “the baby room” at the Bremen Church. Hugs to all of the Engels Family…I think I’ll go make some Special K Bars in her honor. 🙂
