Gregory “Greg” Feather Sr.

Gregory Feather Sr. ~ Mah’piya Iwankab Wichaho ~ Voice Heard Above The Clouds, 68, entered the spirit world on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at his home in Saint John, ND.

Gregory Dean Feather Sr. was born on October 29, 1955 to Moses and Clara (Belgarde) Mazakahomni in Devils Lake, ND.  Greg attended school in Fort Totten, ND through 8th grade and then attended Wahpeton Boarding School.  Greg joined the United States Marine Corp.  He did earn his GED.  He later attended the United Tribes School for Auto Mechanics.  On May 13, 1983 Greg married Yvonne in Bullhead, SD.  He worked building trusses and for 18 years as the Resident Advisor at the United Tribes School in Bismarck, ND.

Greg enjoyed traveling to Pow Wows, visiting friends and family and going to the casino.

Greg is survived by his sons, Murray Feather and Arthur Feather; daughter, Delma Feather; grandchildren, Gabrielle Feather, Jesse Feather, Darion Feather, Phoenix BuckElk, Jennifer ThunderHawk, Dawson Feather, Kyjuan Feather, Malaki Feather, Makiya Feather, Kyonah Feather.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Feather and his parents.

Greg’s Visitation will be Monday, at 1:00PM – 6:00PM followed by a Prayer Service at 6:00PM all at Fort Totten Rec. Center, Fort Totten, ND.

Friends wishing to join the procession from New Rockford to Fort Totten may gather on the St. Jerome’s road, Fort Totten, prior to 12:45PM.

His Burial will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck, ND.
