Jessie Renee Mason, age 38, of Spirit Lake Nation died of injuries sustained in an auto mobile accident in Kansas on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Jessie was born on November 8, 1982, in Grand Forks, ND. She is the daughter of Pamela Baker and the late Quentin Terry Mason. She was an enrolled member with the Three Affiliated Tribe and grew up on the Spirit Lake Reservation. She attended school in Warwick, ND, and Fort Totten, ND, graduating from Four Winds High School in 2002.

Jessie had a very caring and giving heart. She loved taking her children to various activities. Her children were so precious to her and she loved them so very much. She always had something funny to tell you and greeted you with her beautiful smile.

Jessie loved taking pictures wherever she went, playing at the casino, watching her favorite football team (Denver Broncos), and going rummaging.

Jessie is survived by her children, Tara, Terran, Currean, Tori, Asher, Starlit, Carolette, and Sawyer; her mother, Pamela; sisters, Ila and Lisa Mason; brothers, Kelly Mason, Jordan Huntsalong, and Treston and Marshall DeMarce; grandfather, Edward Lonefight (Mandaree, ND); aunts, Nancy Sager, Connie and Donna Baker, Cerease Baker (Mandaree, ND), Marlys Jetty; uncles, Ronnie (Verna), Bobby, Kenny Baker, and Roger Jetty; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jessie is preceded in death by her father, Quentin Terry Mason; grandparents, Carolett and Michael Mason, Marie and Moses Baker; aunt, Collette GoodIron; uncles, Winston Mason, David and Douglas Baker, Dennis and Mark Jetty; sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and David Jetty.

Honorary Bearers: Todd & Sheila Belgard, Alison Lawrence & Family, Ester Ironhawk & Family, Lorman Owlboy Sr. & Family, Bree Green, Brandy Belgard & Family, Bonita Morin & Family, Valerie Bull & Family and Sharron Black & Family.   If we forgot to mention anyone, it was not intentional for we are going through a difficult time.

Jessie’s Wake will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 5:00PM followed by a Rosary Service at 7:00PM all at the Tec Center, St. Michael, ND.

Friends wishing to join the procession from New Rockford to St. Michael may gather on the St. Jerome’s road, Fort Totten, prior to 4:30PM.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 10:00AM at the Tec Center, St. Michael, ND.

Her Burial will be at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, St. Michael, ND.
