Ann Harding

Ann Harding, age 99, of McHenry and New Rockford, ND, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND.

Ann Francis Baker was born April 2, 1911, to William and Catherine (Sherrick) Baker, in rural McHenry where she later attended school. On October 31, 1932, Ann was united in marriage to Ralph Henry Harding in New Rockford, ND. Ralph worked for Archie Campbell Road Construction for 23 years. They lived in the McHenry area during the winters and around the state during the work season. They also farmed in Paradise Township until 1977 when Ralph retired and they moved to New Rockford. Ralph died on December 18, 1987 and Ann moved back to McHenry in April of 1988. In March of 2004, she moved to Rock of Ages, in Jamestown and in March of this year to Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown.

She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, ELCA Women, Life member of American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Citizen, all of McHenry, ND and was also a member of the New Rockford Eagles Auxiliary.

Ann enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Lois) Harding and Richard (Sherry) Harding both of McHenry; three daughters, Myrna (Jerry) Ronholm, Jamestown, Darlene (LuVerne) Hoyt, McHenry, Judy (Hartley) Hoyt, Jamestown, ND , 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
