Message: To the Deegan Family:   We here at MSU Moorhead's Political Science department just learned of Tony's passing this afternoon.  On behalf of all of us here, we offer our sincere condolences for your loss.   I remember speaking with Anthony in the fall about classes, and although I know he didn't' finish out the term with us, he impressed me with his wit, and his desire to help and serve his fellow man.   His bearing and his mannerisms made it very clear this young man was mature far beyond his years and you should be very proud of all of his accomplishments.  Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.   I regret we did not learn of Anthony's passing sooner.   With all due respect, Paul Kramer, MSU Moorhead

Message: Dear Deegan Family,
I'd like to offer my condolences, prayers and support during this time of unforeseen tragedy. Tony was a great soldier and even a better man. I could definitely tell his compassions, values, and drive was derived from a caring family and a sound support network. I could explain numerous stories which would describe his manner in which he served with me in wartime, but that would be endless. In short, he was always there and willing when I needed him. Rest assured knowing Earth is a lesser place without him.
