Glenn Belgarde, Jr.

 

 

Glenn P. Belgarde, Jr., known as “Hambone” or “Jr”, age 39, of Mandan, ND, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at his home.

Glenn Patrick Belgarde, Jr., son of Glenn P. Belgarde, Sr. and Alice M. Jetty was born January 30, 1977, in Devils Lake, ND. He lived in Fort Totten, ND, during his younger years and later moved to Dickinson, ND, with his mother and step-father Dallas, where he graduated high school. They then moved to the Bismarck/Mandan area. Glenn worked many jobs in his short time; he worked at White House Café, Spirit Lake Ambulance Service, Fort Totten Police Department, Spirit Lake Casino, and United Tribes Technical College.  Hambone had most recently worked at Triple H Miniature Horse Rescue, this is where his main passion was. He battled many illnesses and was forced by his health to resign.

Glenn met his wife Janice in 2002, and they were married in 2009. They lived in Mandan until they divorced, remaining good friends.

Hambone had many enjoyments in life; his favorite was to put a smile on everyone’s face. He had many friends from all over. He enjoyed dancing, singing, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and playing guitar. His main enjoyment for past time was traveling. He was very loving, caring, respectful, helpful, and thoughtful. He faced many, many illnesses, but never let it get him down; He will be missed by his many family members & friends, and his faithful dog companion Toby.

He is survived by his mother Alice Dogskin; step-father Dallas Dogskin; son Wylee Belgarde; daughters Candice Brown and Precious Wanna; step-daughter Alex Cadotte; step-granddaughter RubyDawn Cadotte; his God-child Heaven Walkingeagle; sister Denise Walkingeagle; brother Delmer (Lorna) Youngbird; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; and  his adopted parents Dianne Primeaux and Nelson Heart.

Glenn was preceeded in death by his father Glenn P. Belgarde Sr.; aunts Sarah Jetty and  Olivia “Mae” Jetty, uncles Daniel Jetty and Chuck Belgarde, maternal grandparents Oliver and Sarah Jetty; paternal grandparents Pat and Rachael Belgarde, cousins Laura Jetty, Zephren Jetty and Wayne Anderson; and other members of the Belgarde family.

 

WAKE:

Begins Sunday at 5PM at St. Michael Recreation Center, St. Michael, ND

Friends wanting to join the procession from New Rockford to St. Michael may gather at the junction of Hwys 281 & 57, prior to 4:45PM Sunday

ROSARY SERVICE:

Sunday 8PM at St. Michael Rec. Center

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:

St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 10AM

BURIAL:
