Venoie Bergrud

Venoie Bergrud, age 75, of Sheyenne, ND, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.
Venoie Fern Nerlien was born on October 3, 1939, in Hamberg, ND, the daughter of Edmund and Olga (Lihaven) Nerlien. She grew up and attended school there.
Venoie was united in marriage to Dennis Bergrud on April 23, 1955, at Concordia Lutheran Church, located south of Hamberg. After Dennis was discharged from the military, they lived at St. Paul, MN, for two years. They then moved to the Sheyenne area where they have lived.
Venoie could fix anything electrical! She sold Avon for a time, and sewed many of the clothes for her family. She also enjoyed making bread. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Sheyenne, and of VFW Post #22 Auxiliary of Oberon, ND.
She is survived by her husband Dennis, of Sheyenne; children Deb (Tom) Wetzel, Sheyenne; Denise (Jon) Nygaard, Alberton, MT, Daryl Bergrud, Maddock, ND, Valerie (Arthur Allmaras) Bergrud, Sheyenne, Doug Bergrud, Hamberg, Julie (Kelly) Zelfer, New Rockford, Jennifer (Juice) Fischer, Glasgow, MT; 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 8 brothers and 4 sisters; 2 grandchildren Christal Holter and Derrick Bonderson; and one son-in-law Buck Holter.
