Message: To the Piatz family,
Brian and I had known each other since the first day he was flown to Las Vegas in October of 2002. We became fast friends from the start and maintained a close relationship to the end . We literally worked side by side for the last 8 years, being physically seperated by a few feet. :-) We shared many laughs and a few tears together. The fondest memories are of the holidays in the early years in Las Vegas when we were the only family we had. I had the privilege of meeting the Piatz family during those holiday get togethers. Brian had many friends and touched many lives. His passing has saddened many and he will be sorely missed. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

Message: Fred, Valerie, Holly, Russ & family, I met Brian at Marketplace Motors and shared many good times with him there (wallyball, softball, working ,and we were also roommates). Brian was always there to make a good time out of anything no matter how mundane the task. We also shared many trips together (Florida, Cooke City MT, Las Vegas). Every one of those memories are awesome and I have Brian to thank for that! The last time Brian and I hunted together we teamed up to knock down a monster 6 X 7 whitetail that adorns the wall of my hunting lodge in Kenmare. Even the last time we spoke, we still jostled back and forth as to who actually got it! I will miss him dearly. Brian was a great friend!
My sincere condolences go out to all of you. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time.
With heavy hearts,
Darrick and Jesseca Johnson

Message: Have you ever met angel? Dont stop and take a guess, Because if you knew Brian Piatz, then the answer is simply "YES".
The angels came and got you, why i will never know, But GOD had a plan for you and it was time for you to go.
The people who knew you and the lives that you have touched, Are the people who cared about you and loved you so much.
The memories we made and the times that we shared, I hope that you know Brian how much i really cared.
We laughed a million times, and sometimes til we cried, As i sit and write this poem for you, i still cant believe you died.
My heart is filled with pain, and heavy with thoughts of sorrow, This just goes to show us that sometimes theres no tommorrow.
When i wasnt strong and needed you, you never turned away, You gave me the famous "Brian Piatz" hug and said i would be okay.
Love the ones dear to you, for no one knows when its time to go, So when you get asked the question "Have you ever met an angel?" the answer will never be "No".
So now i say good bye to you, Brian my special friend, But its not good bye forever just until we meet again.....
Fly with the angels Brian.....

Message: To the Piatz family...
My deepest sympathy and prayers to you.. My sister and I work with brian for many years at metro hyundai. He was one of the most amazing people I have had the pleasure of meeting. He was a great person, friend and just overall a great person. He always looked after us and we shared many laughs together. No matter how bad of a day I was having, he was always there with that Brian Piatz hug to make it all better. Even though we both moved on he would always call me and check up on me and make sure i was still reaching for my dreams. Brian taught me many valuable lessons and taught me about the kind of person i should strive to be. He will always hold a very special place in my heart. The world has lost a very special person.. but gained an angel..... rest in peace B.P.

Message: To The Piatz Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. Sorry that I couldn't be there for the service. But know that I will be thinking about all of you all the days ahead. I don't know where to start....Brian "P" (as I called him) cause my husbands name was also Brian, first came to work for my husband in Brookings SD, where I got to know him better. He lived just across the a pond from us. And we did alot together. I remember my Mom bought a car from the dealership and "P" did the paper work and she just loved him! She couldn't say enough good things about him. He later made the big move to work for my husband in Las Vegas. We where like family, as none of us had any there. We have so many great memories. Some from work and alot from all the fun we had. He would often take care of our cats when we where out of town. We were on a bowling league every Sunday, and what a great bowler he was!! Lots of great memories I have of him. I'm sad that he never got to meet our kids. He sent me a very nice message via Facebook the Sunday before his passing. I read it very day! To his parents: you raised such a good man. "P" had such a heart of gold. And would do anything you asked. He was a very hard worker, and everyone loved to work with him. To Holly: I didn't know that a brother could love his sister so much! He was always talking about you. I remember when he said that you where pregnant, he was so happy for you.
He will always be in our hearts, and the memories we'll never forget.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
