Gina Marie Callousleg
Gina Callousleg age 36, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly Porcupine, ND, died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, SD. Gina Marie Callousleg was born on May 15, 1979, in Fort Yates, ND, the daughter of Ronald Iron Shield and Philomene Callousleg. She grew up at Fort Yates, and attended school there and at Flandreau, SD. Gina later received her GED. She moved to Fargo, ND, until 2001, when she moved to San Antonio, TX. There she met her companion Daniel Chavez, and they had two children, Juan & Spirit Rain. Gina returned home to Porcupine in August of 2015, and became ill soon after. She moved to Rapid City in December 2015. Gina was a very free spirit; she had many friends all over. She liked to travel, and enjoyed the wild side of life. Gina enjoyed writing poetry and listening to country western music. Her family was important to her, and she loved her children. She is survived by her children, Juan & Spirit Rain Chavez, San Antonio; her mother, Philomene Callousleg, Selfridge, ND; 5 brothers, Frank of Fort Yates, Kevin & Lucas, Ronan, MT, Hokie, St. Michael, Joshua, Porcupine; 4 sisters, Virginia, Justine, Rose & Dakota, all of Porcupine; 3 aunts, April Callousleg, Rapid City, Nikki Callousleg, Mandan, ND, Louisa Martin, Rapid City; one uncle Jerry Vaulters, Jr, Fort Yates; many other uncles and aunts living at Rapid City and St. Michael; and two special cousins, Yuray Iron Shield & Lakota Callousleg.

Message: I am sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. At John 5:28 & 29, Jesus tells us that all those in the grave will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort for those who know Him, so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day. Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask God to bless your family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time.
