Lynette Caylor
Lynette Caylor, age 50, of Carrington, ND, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at her home. Lynette Marilyn Beck was born on November 1, 1963, in Carrington, to Dr. Carl A. Beck and Jeanette M. Beck. Lynette graduated from Durham Tech Optician School in Durham, North Carolina. After graduation, she went to work with her father as an optician in his Optometry Practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While visiting North Dakota for a family reunion, Lynette met and fell in love with Don Caylor of Carrington. They were married on December 7, 1985. Lynette worked as a rural mail carrier for seventeen years in Carrington. She was active in the academic and athletic lives of her children, Casey and Laura, as they progressed through school. Lynette even coordinated their high school proms. She loved planning trips and traveling to warm exotic places with her family, which included trying out the local cuisine. She always enjoyed hunting for junk and turning it into a new treasure for people to talk about and admire. For the past ten years, Lynette enjoyed working with her friends, Cassie Smith and Missy Hafner, to promote and participate in Junk Fest at the Carrington fair Grounds every September. She will be remembered for her quick wit, creativity, and compassion. Lynette was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Lynette is survived by her husband Don of Carrington; two children, Casey Caylor of Grand Forks, ND, and Laura Caylor of Fargo, ND; mother, Jeanette Beck of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Shelly (Karl) Schnurr of Bristow, VA; Allison (Ronnie) Kirkland of Honolulu, HI. She is preceded in death in death by her father Dr. Carl Beck; grandparents Henry and Esther Beck, Dan and Laura Gross; uncles Dr. Keith Beck, Kenny Gross, Danny Gross, and aunt Donna Zink.

Message: I enjoyed visiting with Lynette when she came into Roger Maris for her doctor appts. We would talk for awhile about the flea market she worked on in town. She was a kind, gorgeous woman, and will be missed by all who knew her. Lynette's family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. So sorry to hear of her passing.
