Brennan T. Ehlers, age 21, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, after a brief hospitalization at Sanford Children’s Hospital, Fargo, ND. Brennan Troy Ehlers was born on July 17, 1992 at Devils Lake, ND, to Aaron & Lyndi (Hoffman) Ehlers and was the oldest of six children. He attended Midkota High School, Glenfield, ND, where he graduated as Valedictorian of his senior class in 2011. Brennan enjoyed playing basketball for many years at Midkota. In the fall of 2011, Brennan attended Lake Region State College of Devils Lake, ND, where he attained a 2-year degree in Accounting and Business Management in only one year. Brennan’s faith in God led him on a mission trip to Honduras along with a group from his home church, New Life Fellowship, during the summer of 2012. While there he took care of orphans and ministered to widows according to James 1:27. In the fall of 2012, Brennan purchased some beef cattle, and remained living on the family farm north of McHenry, ND. During this time he worked as a farm/ranch hand for a neighbor until June, 2013. Brennan loved playing basketball, watching movies, and hanging out with his family and friends. He had an amazing personality, and a beautiful smile that could light up a room. Brennan was a very kind and compassionate young man who loved helping and caring for his younger brothers and sisters. He loved to laugh and found great enjoyment using his witty personality to make others laugh as well. Brennan is survived by his loving parents, Aaron and Lyndi Ehlers; his brothers, Dalton, Riley, and Breck; his sisters, Danica and Brienna, all of McHenry, ND; his Grandparents Ray and Dianne Hoffman, Tolna, ND; Arlene Ehlers, McHenry, ND; several aunts and uncles and many cousins. Brennan was preceded in death by his Grandpa, Darrel Ehlers.

Message: This is so overdue, but I think of Brennan so often. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Brennan in class at LRSC. He had a smile on his face everyday. It was halfway into the semester before I discovered all he had overcome in high school. He truly was an amazing young many. I am glad he was a young man of such faith; it makes it so much easier to "give him up" on earth.

Message: So sorry for the lose of Brennan. A parent should not out live their children. I didn't know him but from what I have heard God truly accepted a new angel this week. My condolences go to all the Ehlers family.
