Erma Christianson, age 82, went home to her beloved husband Carl on May 28, 2012 at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

Erma Christina Dockter was born to Gottlieb and Josephine (Davis) Dockter on January 3, 1930 at Regan, ND. She attended school at Regan and Tuttle, ND.

On December 5, 1949, she married Carlton Christianson at First Lutheran Parsonage in New Rockford. To this union five sons were born, Dale, David, Michael, Dennis and Mark. Carl and Erma have raised their family in Plattsmouth NE, and Omaha NE, before moving to Bennington, NE in the mid 1950’s. She did the bookkeeping for Carl’s trash hauling business. Carl passed away on January 28, 2007, in Omaha, and in May 2007, Erma moved back to North Dakota and resided at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford.

She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her four sons; David (Shirley), Michael (Tami), both of Omaha, NE, Dennis (Linda), Bennington, NE, Mark (Marcia), Washington, NE; many wonderful grandkids and great grandkids; two brothers, Jim (Eileen), Harold (Sue), both of New Rockford, six sisters, Delores (Eulis) Rogers, Marjory Bohnet, Helen (LaVern) Duda, all of New Rockford, Agnes Nokleby (Willis Suckut), Carrington, ND, Jan Banning, Shirley Pederson, both of Williston, ND; three sisters-in-law, Janice Dockter, Helen Christianson, both of New Rockford, Evideen Christianson, California, brothers in-law and sisters-in-law, Lee (Phyllis) Christianson, Dickinson, ND, Ruth Ann (Roger) Ebel, Fessenden, ND, Gary Christianson, Sheyenne, ND, Joyce Applegate, Bismarck, ND, also nieces and nephews.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dale; sisters, Doris Wade, Ruby Eisle, Dolly Kaul; brothers-in-law, Harry Kaul, Duane Nokleby, Lyle Christianson, Don Christianson, Everett Applegate, Mayo Christianson.
