Grace Lorraine Peterson was born on November 26, 1912, the daughter of George and Jennie (Nord) Peterson in Nome, ND. She moved with her family to McHenry, ND, in 1918, where she started school. In 1922, her family moved to Walum, ND. They moved back to McHenry in 1926, where Grace started high school and graduated in 1931. Grace was active in the church choir, glee club and Girl Scouts. She worked in the Wander Café and part time at the telephone company.

Grace was united in marriage to Gleonard Falla in 1933, and they lived on a farm near Mose, ND. In 1942, they moved to Minneapolis, MN, and then to Hetland, SD. She lived in Hetland with her family while her husband was in the service. Grace moved back to Minneapolis in 1946, where she worked for Beldan-Evans Custom Made Shirts and AT &T Telephone Co. They later divorced.

On February 28, 1958, Grace married Clifford Grafsgaard. They moved back to McHenry in 1967. Clifford died August 15, 1998. Grace was active in Church Ladies Aide, American Legion Auxiliary, and Senior Citizens. Grace held office in all three organizations. She loved sewing and quilting.

Grace will be remembered and deeply missed by her son, Ken Falla, Fargo, ND; her daughter, Beverly Burgess, Harbour Heights, FL; a sister, Luella Ellingson, McHenry, ND; sister-in-law, Avis Barclay, Binford, ND; four grandchildren, Jeffery Falla, Minneapolis, MN, Lori Ann (Bruce) Hanson, Cable, WI, Greg (Deirdre) Falla, New Britain, CN, and Kelly (Bradley) Delfs, Spring Lake Park, MN; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters, two great-great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers, Carvel and Maurice; two sisters, Burdell and Winnifred; a daughter, Louise Falla; a grandson, Terry Biskey; and a great-grandson, Daniel Falla.
