Message: Dear Phyllis, Debbie and Donna, Just learned Hank passed this year. I loved seeing you two at church and thought of you every time I went past your farm. I've been doing some family history research and I bet Hank would have known quite a bit. The Gussiaas' the Millers and the Hjelseths go way back and I have benefitted greatly from their fortitude and faith. Love Jerilyn, Emelia and Jack

Message: Dearest Phyllis and Family,
Please accept my heartfelt compassion in the passing of Uncle Henry. I am the late Norma Jean Bonderud's/Wambold's first born daughter. My parents thought highly of Henry and I only wish I could have known him better. His life experiences, historical account of early Carrington and the Bonderud and Gussiaas families would have been such an asset to me, knowing about my North Dakota family and for the historical accuracy in the writing of my book. The short time I was able to visit you and Henry while visiting Carrington was far too short but I will treasure the time God allowed me as precious memories.
Phyllis, may God give you His grace in the days ahead. I had been praying for Henry and now I will pray that God gives you comfort and renewed strength for the future. Please know that I loved mom's family and regard you and Henry as blessings in my life.
Please write when you can. I would love to know you better, Phyllis.
With loving regards, Catherine Walker

Message: I am saddened to hear of Hank's passing. Although I only had the opportunity to meet and talk to him a few times while helping with his auction, Last summer, I enjoyed the opportunity to meet him and hear a few stories of the "treasures" that he was selling. It was obvious though, that his true treasure was his family. My prayers will be with your family as you adjust to the void Hank will leave in each of your lives.

Message: To Phyllis and all the Gussiaas families--I was so sorry to read of Hank's death and send my sincere sympathy to all of you. Darold and I enjoyed many cups of coffee with you folks, and if I remember correctly, we flew to your farm for a visit. Each loss of a friend from the Carrington area is sad as there are not many left anymore.
My memorial will be given to Trinity Lutheran Church. May God bless all of you. Evelyn Anderson
