Brion K. Herr, age 56, of Carrington, ND, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at his home in Carrington.

Brion Kevin Herr was born November 9, 1959, at Eureka, SD, the son of Adam and Lydia (Goehring) Herr.  He was youngest of nine children, and grew up on the family farm southwest of Wishek, ND.  He attended school at Wishek, and then worked on the farm. 

Brion became a father on January 2, 1991, when his daughter Nicole was born.   He later began a long term relationship with Debbie Pitney.  They have lived in Carrington where Brion has been employed at Dakota Growers Pasta Company for many years.

He enjoyed NASCAR races, and working on the family farm in his free time.

Brion is survived by his daughter Nicole Herr of Mandan, ND; three sisters, Brenda (Verne) Whitman of Driscoll, ND, Bonita (Bob) Schmidt of Minto, ND,  Blanche (Wayne) Weber of Gilby, ND;  two brothers, Dennis Herr of Fargo, ND, and Lambert Herr, Grand Forks, ND;  numerous nieces and nephews; and his companion of many years, Debbie Pitney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, James, Larry, and Jerrold; and a nephew Steven.
