Vonette Holt, age 61, of New Rockford, ND, died Saturday, August 13, 2016, at CHI St. Alexius Carrington, Carrington, ND.

Lavada Vonette Proctor was born May 24, 1955, at Maryville, Tennessee, the daughter of Neals and Willie Mae (Boring) Proctor.  She grew up in the Salt Lake Valley area of Utah, and graduated from high school at Hunter, Utah. 

On December 8, 1972, Vonette was united in marriage to Wade Holt at Hunter.  They lived at Bluffdale, UT, for 30 years.  Vonette had worked in a fabric store for 20 years, and also owned a video rental store for 3 years.  They moved to New Rockford in 2001.

She loved doing crafts, and was an excellent seamstress.  She was an avid birdwatcher, and their backyard in New Rockford is a year-round haven for many types of birds.   Vonette loved spending time with kids, and especially loved her grandchildren.  She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. 

She is survived by her husband Wade; two daughters Stormie Kay (Arnold) Person, West Jordan, UT, and Mindy (Lynn) Reay, Logan, UT; 6 grandchildren: JR Crane, Rachelle Person, Shayla Reay, Chelise Reay, Landon Person, Veronica Person; 3 sisters Mildred Symonds, Anchorage, Alaska, Annette (Lonnie) Holt, West Jordan, Donette (Jeff) Proctor, Mobridge, SD; two brothers Norris (Nancy) Proctor, Magna, UT and Melvin Proctor, Tooele, UT.

Vonette was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Lynette.
