Frances Indergaard, 87, of Carrington, ND, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

Frances Ann Heringer was born May 26, 1930, at Mae Sutherland’s home in New Rockford, the daughter of Louis and Agnes (Moberg) Heringer. She attended school at rural Nordmore and Superior Townships. Frances attended high school at rural New Rockford Township.

She was united in marriage to Mervin A. Indergaard on October 10, 1948, in New Rockford. Together they farmed for several years in Pleasant Prairie and Superior Townships.  In 1956, they moved to Miles City, MT, until 1961, when they moved to Carrington. Frances was employed at Super Valu in the Meat Department from 1963 – 1976. She then went to work for Cargill INC. Elevator as a bookkeeper from 1976 – 1979. Frances went to work at the Carrington Health Center in 1979, until 1999.

She loved spending time with her family. She always had the coffee ready for guests and enjoyed visiting with everyone. She loved her dogs, cats and all animals. She enjoyed gardening, her flower beds, embroidery, and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years Mervin, Carrington, daughter Vicki Magill, Carrington, two sisters-in-law, Esther Indergaard, Carrington, and Dorothy Heringer, St. Joseph, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Agnes; three brothers John, Robert and James.

Visitation: one hour prior to the funeral at Trinity Lutheran Church.
