Message: Was so sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was a wonderful lady. I so enjoyed all the tea parties that I was invited to with all of her closest friends. I spent many afternoons visiting her with my kids when they were small. They still call her Grandma Dorothy.  Her and Elvy were always to kind and willing to share a cup of coffee and goodies for a bit of conversation.  I sent her a Christmas card this year and am sad to know that i was too slow and she never received it before she went home to Jesus.  She was a one of a kind lady.  Prayers for you and your family.

Message: Your Mom was "there" and then she was "not". I have said hello to Dorothy and her family almost every day of the last three years. It was good to read her obituary to learn about her "other" life. Sometimes I think it would good to read about all of "Willow Lane's residents' lives" prior to their becoming residents. And Dorothy wrote a column from age 90 to 100!!! WOW!!

My sympathies are with the family

Message: Shirley and Pete

We are at a loss for adequate words to express our sadness for you. We are thinking and praying for you during this difficult time.

It is hard to lose someone you love who has been a part of your life and world.  There is comfort in knowing that one thing you will always have is the memory of the love and of the special person who shared it with you.  We hope that as you recount and share the stories and the memories of how Dorothy lived her life, how very much you loved her and how much she meant to you, may you find comfort and through this difficult time, may you know  the deep sympathy and love that is felt for you and your family.

With our Love and Sympathy

Donna and Tim Cutler

Message: My condolences on the loss of one of the nicest ladies I've had the priviledge to know. She will be forever the Sutton-Glenfield newslady (I worked at the GC Sentinel-Courier),the rug lady (my daughters and I still have many of her rugs in use)and the maker of the most awesome brownies! I have shared many cups of coffee at her home. The pot was always on and always some wonderful treats to share. She was a great lady.
