Kimberly Seiler
Kimberly’s long and courageous battle with cancer came to a peaceful end Monday, February 20, 2012, at Sanford Health Palliative Care in Fargo, ND, at the age of 43 years. Kimberly was born December 16, 1968, to James and Eileen (Haakenson) Dockter in Carrington, ND. She was raised and educated in New Rockford. Kimberly was united in marriage to the love of her life, Joseph Seiler, August 31, 1991, in New Rockford. When their son Brady was born, he became the center of her world, right to the very end. She lived for him. During high school, she worked at Homestead Café and Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, both of New Rockford. Kim went to work at Joe’s Pizza as Manager, and later also managed Buckit Joe’s bar. She enjoyed the many wonderful and lasting friendships that developed from the 20 years of being in business. She worked very hard and took great pride in co-owning and operating a successful business. When Kim wasn’t working, you could find her at her favorite place to be – at the farm. The peace being there brought to her after her medical treatment stays in Fargo were very special to her. Joe, Kim and Brady took many wonderful family vacations that will hold memories for a lifetime. She looked forward to each and enjoyed the adventures, but also couldn’t wait to get back home. Kimberly is survived by her husband, Joe; sons, Brady, New Rockford, and Joseph (Brandy), stationed with the US Navy in Djibouti, Africa; daughter Carisa (Nick) Sauby, Billings, MT; 2 grandchildren, Weston and Kolter Sauby; her parents Jim and Eileen Dockter, New Rockford; her sister Charlene (Tom) Gilliss, Waubun, MN; 4 brothers Jeff Haakenson, Jamestown, ND, James (Karla) Dockter, Terry (Colleen) Dockter, and Kyle (Georgia, companion) Dockter, all of New Rockford; several nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a nephew, Rodney Haakenson.
