Krista K. Grager

Krista K. Grager, age 41, of Sykeston, ND, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at St. Aloisius Hospital at Harvey, ND.

Krista Kay Tanata was born on October 17, 1970, the daughter of Fred and Lillian (Scott) Tanata at Sioux City, Iowa. She was raised and attended grade school at Courtenay, ND. The family moved to Carrington in 1980, where Krista graduated from High School in 1989.

On August 1, 2009, Krista was united in marriage to Jay Grager in James River Lutheran Church, rural Grace City, ND. They shared their lives near Sykeston. Krista worked for many years for Elmer at Finch’s 5-Spot in Carrington. Her outgoing personality made it easy for her to serve drinks and shoot the breeze with everyone. Krista was currently working at the Jockey Club in Sykeston and Lloyd’s Crop Management in Fessenden.

She was confirmed and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Carrington. Krista enjoyed throwing darts and shooting pool. Her greatest love was the time she shared with her two children.

Krista will be remembered and deeply missed by her husband Jay; her two children, Spencer and Sydnie; mother and step-father, Lillian (Arvid) Ellingson, Carrington; two brothers, Fred and Scott Tanata, both of Carrington; three sisters, Kim (Jeff) Krei, West Fargo, ND, Debbie(Steve) Busche, Kindred, ND, and Julie (Chuck) Krabbenhoff, Fargo, ND; three step-sons Brandon, Michael, Jordan; one step-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was greeted in heaven by her father, Fred; and her grandparents.
