Arnold “Arnie” Kurtz, age 87, of Carrington, formerly of Sykeston, ND, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

Arnold Kurtz was born October 5, 1929, on the family farm near Cathay, ND, the son of William and Hulda (Cellmer) Kurtz.

On September 19, 1975, Arnold married Eleanor Schaack (Lee) in Sykeston. They farmed there until moving to Carrington.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time duck hunting, ice fishing, and trapping.

Arnold will be remembered by his wife Eleanor, step-daughters Londa Turoy and Laura (Larry) Schumaker, step-sons John (Brenda) Schaack and Ross (Sandy) Schaack, brother Clarence (Avis) Kurtz, sister Darlene (Jerry) Lund and his many friends, nieces and nephews.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents William and Hulda Kurtz, one sister Adeline (Rudy) Neumiller, one brother Elmer (Gladys) Kurtz.
