Jerald Liebig
Jerald Liebig, age 67, of Carrington, ND, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
Jerald Dwayne Liebig was born October 13, 1947, in Jamestown, ND, to William and Lucille (Schimelfenig) Liebig. Jerald was the oldest of three children. He graduated from Carrington High School in 1965. He then attended NDSCS at Wahpeton, ND, and graduated in 1967, with a degree in diesel mechanics. Jerald was in the Army for a short period of time until his medical discharge. From July 1969 to 1981, Jerald was married to Beverly Wescom. They had two daughters: Betty Jo and Heidi. On November 23, 1982, Jerald married Charlene Rae Hirsch Koenig. Jerald was a cowboy first, as well as a trucker and farmer. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He was an usher at church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with his grandchildren, and cuddling with his Babe. Jerald is survived by his wife Charlene, children Dondi Koenig, Toni (Shannon) Koenig, Kelli Koenig Helton, Jodi Koenig, Betty Jo (Jason) Krenz, and Heidi Liebig; 14 grandchildren; one sister Brenda (Bill) Frost, an aunt Agnes Leik, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jerald was preceded in death by his mother Lucille, father William, brother Joseph, and one granddaughter Whitney.

Message: What a loss! Jerald was a favorite cousin of mine. He was gracious, talented, and willing to help as needed. My Mom Lucille and Aunt Lucille were the best of sister in laws. I remember their laughter. Wish I were closer to North Dakota and could have seen Jerald more so we could have laughed too..
