Hunter Lovejoy, age 13, of St. Michael, ND, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at his residence in St. Michael. Hunter Joseph Lovejoy was born on February 19, 2003, in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Jamie Lovejoy and Allison (Thunder Shield) Conqueringbear. Hunter enjoyed basketball, football, spending time with his friends and fixing bikes. He loved being around his brothers and sisters and liked his Facebook. He enjoyed riding horse with his friend Kevin Brown Jr. Hunter was a member of the Four Winds 7th Grade class. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and any outdoor activities. Hunter seemed shy, but was funny and outgoing, and liked to joke around. He had a big heart, and always had a big smile. He is survived by his father Jamie (Sandy Jackson) Lovejoy; brothers Harley, Hayden, and James Lovejoy, and John Conqueringbear; sisters Sierra Lovejoy, Shauncina Lovejoy and Calantha Conqueringbear; grandfathers: Frank Lovejoy and Freeman Whiteshield Sr.; grandmothers: Sharon Brien, Bernadine Whiteshield, Carol Littleghost, Brenda Whiteshield, Elaine (Duane) Guy, and Maryann Blackbull. His aunts: Myrna (Richard) Whiteshield, Jada Longie, Ivy (Paul) Lovejoy, Kasey (Brooks) Lovejoy, Fanette (Daniel) Lovejoy, Ashley (Tylin) Slaughter, Starlette Thunder Shield; uncles: Michael (Jeanette) Jackson, Keith (Angel) Longie, Gerald (Connie) Longie, Dylan Thunder Shield, Dwight Thunder Shield, and Dallas Thunder Shield. Hunter is preceded in death by his mother Allison Conqueringbear; grandmother Mary Lovejoy, grandparents Dallas & Sharon Thunder Shield, Felix & Lucy Whiteshield.
PRAYER SERVICE: Monday (May16th) at 6PM in St. Michael Wellness Center.
Begins Tuesday (May 17th) at 5PM in St. Michael Wellness Center. Friends may join the procession to St. Michael by gathering on the St. Jerome's Road prior to 4:45PM Tuesday ROSARY: Tuesday at 7PM at St. Michael Wellness Center. Message: Thinking back on all our memories that we have made with you growing up in the mission. From playing kickball, softball, capture the flag and tag. You always had a big smile on your face along with your funny jokes (teasing) everyone. If we weren't sitting at the basketball courts you would run over to the next housing and play until dark running around in the yard or on your bike. In your short life you have made a big impact in our hearts, Hunter. We will miss seeing you around but don't think we will forget you....RIP Hunter
