Floyd H. McKay, age 75, of Fort Totten, ND, died Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home, Lakota, ND.

Floyd Howard McKay was born on April 17, 1938, to Martin Young and Mary Woods, he was raised by Gabriel McKay. He attended school at Fort Totten. Floyd had worked in the area as a farm laborer.

On June 3, 1997, he was united in marriage to Doreen Wright at Elk Point, SD. They lived in Fort Totten.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Doreen Wright McKay; brothers, Nikki Woods, Phillip 'Skip' Longie, Sr., Frank Hoppa; sisters, Sylvia Brownshield, Rose Marie Walker, and Catherine Howard.

Floyd was preceded in death by his father Martin Young, mother Mary Woods, brother Pat Adams, sisters Priscilla Cavanaugh, Gladys Peltier, Diane Woods, Florence Joshua; nephews, John Peltier Jr., Michaell W. Joshua, Edward Peltier, and a niece, Julia Peltier.

Special Mention: The Lovejoy Boys, Jaylen Peoples, Bryant Brownshield, and his adopted grandchildren, Mystic Q. Gourd, Whisper Gourd, Joseph Gourd.
