Patricia “Patty” Miller, age 72, Carrington, ND, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at Golden Acres Nursing Home, Carrington, ND. Patricia Louise Engberg was born on July 24, 1944, in Carrington, ND, the daughter of Roy and Mildred (Sheets) Engberg. Patty grew up in Carrington and graduated from Carrington High School. She then attended beauty school for 1 year before returning home. She worked in LaVogue Hair Salon with her Mother before taking over the salon. Patty was united in marriage to Wesley Miller on June 30, 1963, at Federated Church, Carrington, ND. They resided in town where they had their three children. In 1973, they moved to their farm. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite past times was drinking coffee and visiting with her friends. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. Patty is survived by her husband Wes, Carrington; her 3 children Michelle Krefting, Dallas, TX, Mike Miller, Carrington, Tim (Alyssa) Miller, Valley City; 6 grandchildren Kahlor, Casey, Tanner, Tyler, Taylor, and Ethan; 2 sisters Peggy (Don) Bickett, and Jane (Brad) Schultz, both of Carrington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friend Marie Pozarnsky. She was preceded in death by her parents.
