Margaret “Hazel� Nysted, age 95, died Friday, October 12, 2012, at a nursing home in Griffith, IN.

Margaret Hazel Thurlow was born on July 8, 1917, the daughter of William and Otilda (Overson) Thurlow on the family farm near Glenfield, ND. In 1930, they moved to a farm along the James River near Carrington, ND. She attended country school and later moved to Indiana.

In 1940, Hazel was united in marriage to Irwin Nysted and made their home in Griffith, IN. Irwin died on August 2, 1973.

Hazel is survived by one brother, Owen Thurlow, Carrington, ND; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Lloyd, Richard and Clifford Thurlow.
