Linda Omoth
Linda Omoth, age 70, of New Rockford, ND, died Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Sanford Health of Fargo, ND.
Linda Lou Nielsen was born November 6, 1944, at City Hospital, New Rockford, the daughter of Howard and Ruth (Nyland) Nielsen. She grew up in the rural Sheyenne area with her younger sisters Shirley and Mary Kay. She graduated from Oberon High School in 1963 and then attended nursing school at Devils Lake for a time.
Linda began working at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd until she met Arlo James Omoth. They were united in marriage April 7, 1967, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Oberon, ND. They made their home on a farm east of New Rockford where they raised four girls.
Linda was active for many years with the Tiffany Meadowlarks 4-H Club as a leader, and as part of the New Rockford High School Music Boosters Club. She was also part of the Tiffany Ladies Aide group. Linda was a member of First Lutheran Church and was part of the Helping Hands group.
Linda is survived by her husband Arlo, New Rockford; daughters Rhonda Stevenson, Winnemucca, NV, Deborah (Wayne Smith) Omoth, Eden Prairie, MN, Karla Berglund, New Rockford, Sarah (Robert) Senger, Rolla, ND; grandchildren Anna, Mara, Gretchen, Nicholas, Emily, and Erin; two sisters Shirley (Roger) Nelson, West Fargo, ND, Mary Kay Oppen, Rugby, ND; one sister-in-law Jeneen (David) Loe, Washburn, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, two son-in-laws, Steve Stevenson and Johnathan Berglund
