Patricia Schmit, age 89, of rural Carrington, ND, died Monday, July 4, 2011, at her home.

Patricia June Caverly was born on June 23, 1922, the daughter of Walter and Sara Caverly at Carrington, ND. She was raised and attended school in Carrington.

On November 29, 1953, Patricia was united in marriage to Vincent Schmit at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bordulac, ND. They made their home on the Schmit family farm east of Bordulac.

She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, and was also a great cook.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Vincent; two daughters, Karla Topp and Bonnie (Tim) Seitz, both of Fargo, ND; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
