Eugene L. Reardon, age 61, of Carrington, ND, died Monday, November 3, 2014, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Eugene Louis Reardon was born March 11, 1953, in Jamestown, the son of Daniel and Louise (Gregory) Reardon. He grew up on the family farm near Medina, ND, and attended school there, graduating in 1971. Gene attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND, and graduated in 1973.
He had a love of camping; Gene enjoyed having the opportunity to go out camping and relaxing. You could often find him going out to the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming and snowmobiling with his family.
Gene was known by his neighbors as a person who could fix anything for you and someone that was willing to help out even if he didn’t know you. He also took the same approach to animals, always taking in strays and giving them a home.
Gene had always been mechanically inclined; from growing up on the farm to working at John Deere, working on farm equipment was his passion. He had a great relationship with the guys he worked with and an even greater respect for the family that they became. Gene had worked at Leading Edge (Rosenau Equipment) of Carrington for 40 years.
He is survived by one sister June Ganser, Billings, MT; one brother Danny Reardon, Medina; one sister-in-law Michelle Reardon, Pierz, MN; two nephews Cole Reardon and Rod Ganser; four nieces Paige Reardon, Taylor Reardon, Claire Reardon and Lori Giesick; two great-nephews Colton Ganser, Jase Giesick and one great-niece Tristine Giesick.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents and one brother James Reardon.
