Joseph A. Ridge

Joe A. Ridge, age 56, of Carrington, ND, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Joseph A. Ridge was born on January 5, 1959, in Louisville, KY, the son of James and Janice (Porter) Ridge.In 1960, he and his family moved to Oakland, CA, where he grew up and went to school. In 1996, he moved to New Rockford, ND. Joe began working at Dakota Growers Pasta Company in Carrington and continued working there for 18 years. During that time he had moved to Carrington, making Carrington his home.

Joe enjoyed camping, canoeing, and the outdoors. Spending time with his family was one of the many things he looked forward to. He was fond of his cats Nosey, Knucklehead and Nosey Jr. Joe loved site seeing and traveling the US. He missed his home town of Oakland and wanted to visit there again.

Joe is survived by his parents James and Janice Ridge Sr. of New Rockford; two sisters Brenda (Jerry) Valdivia, New Rockford, Ellen “Mickey” (Ricky Simmons) Williams, New Rockford; six nieces Echo (Daniel) Sewell, Amber (Jeff) Palmer-Nelson, Elizabeth (David) Albrecht, Sara Scott, Deseray (Travis) Kauk, Sarah Ridge, Jessica (Mario) Padilla; nephew Timothy Scott; as well as multiple great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother James Ridge Jr. and his nephew Dion Tillman.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington
