Robert Milton Wagner was born February 7, 1929, in Jamestown, North Dakota to John and Ruth (Franklin) Wagner. He grew up in Jamestown where he attended elementary school until the family moved to New Rockford, ND, where he completed junior and senior high school. After graduation from New Rockford Central High School, Robert enlisted in the US Navy on August 1, 1946, at the age of 17. After four years in the Navy he re-enlisted in 1950 and spent an additional 6 years in the Navy. He was honorably discharged on January 12, 1956. While in the Navy, Bob was presented the National Defense and Korean Service Medals. He was later employed in California, with the Kirby Vacuum Company for a many years.

Bob married Dotty Holien of Harvey, ND in 1950. Bob and Dotty had 3 sons, twin boys who passed away shortly after birth, and Mick who resides in Portland, Oregon. Bob and Dotty later divorced.

Bob married Marjorie (Hahn) Erickson in March of 1981, and they resided in Yuma, Arizona. Marjorie died in December of 2009.

Bob is survived by his son, Mick of Portland, Oregon, a step daughter, Cheryl Porter of Glendale, Arizona; his sister, Margaret Ann Miller, of Medina, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, his twin sons, his parents, a sister W. Jane Dunham, and a brother Donald Wagner.
