Donna Seaburg
Donna Marie Seaburg, 69, of Carrington, ND, died Monday, December 14, 2015, at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington, after a long courageous battle from Parkinson’s. Donna was born on November 27, 1946, in Minot, ND, to William and Emma (Bjornson) O’Connell. She grew up in Fargo and graduated from Central High School in 1964. Donna attended North Dakota State University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics in 1969. Donna met the love of her life, Tom Seaburg, while attending NDSU where she was an active member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. They were married on August 19, 1967, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Fargo. They lived in Moorhead, MN, where Tom was a Pharmacist for Foss Drug for 8 years before moving to Carrington in 1975, when they bought Galehouse Drug. As time went on their business grew to include 4 drug stores over the next 32 years. Throughout her life, Donna enjoyed a variety of activities, such as crafting, gardening and reading. But her favorite things to do were shopping, decorating and traveling. She was also a member of the Carrington Health Center Auxiliary and enjoyed her time with friends in birthday club. She will always be remembered as a vibrant and energetic lady with a smile on her face for everyone. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Thomas; her children Andrew (Stephen) Seaburg, Hamilton, NJ, Michael (Amy) Seaburg and Tamara (Erik) Sorensen, both of Carrington. A brother, Eugene (Therese) O’Connell, Ottawa, IL; and her grandchildren Tyler, Cole and Jacob Seaburg, Karson and Noah Sorensen. She was preceded in death by her parents.
