David Speldrich

 

David Michael Speldrich, age 60, of Sykeston, ND, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at his home in Sykeston.

David “Spud” Speldrich was born September 29, 1954, in Carrington, ND, the son of Eugene “Butch” and Anne (Zimprich) Speldrich.  He was raised and attended school in Sykeston, ND.  Following his schooling, David moved to Wyoming and Colorado to work in the oil fields.  He later returned to North Dakota, where he owned a trucking company in Belfield and a disposal well in Mandaree with his father.  Dave eventually moved back to Sykeston to farm and raise cattle.  He also worked for Canadian Pacific Railroad until he suffered a back injury.

Dave was united in marriage with Tracy (Nappa) Speldrich on April 20, 1994.  Together they shared the joy of two children; Misty Kay and Michael David.

 

He loved spending time with his children, teaching them how to hunt and fish.  He enjoyed family vacations spent at their cabin in Ely, MN.  He was known for attending and supporting his children’s many sporting events.

 

Dave Speldrich is survived by his two children, Misty Speldrich of Sykeston and Michael Speldrich of Fargo, ND; two grand-children, Kassidy Dethlefs and Kierra Scevers, both of Sykeston; two brothers, Lawrence (Kathy) Speldrich of Sidney, MT and Vernon (Colleen) Speldrich of Oakes, ND; Tracy (Nappa) Speldrich of Gaylord, MN; two nieces and four nephews. 

David was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Anne Speldrich and his beloved dog, Angel.

Message: We are so sorry for your loss.  We were saddened to hear of Dave's death, when my brother, Dan Heinz called. Dave had a huge heart, and I know he loved his family. He was so attentive to his mother, (my Aunt Anne). I know that he missed her very much also.
