Justine Standing Crow
Justine Grace Standing Crow, age 30, of Mandan, ND, died Monday, October 2, 2017, at her home. Justine Grace Standing Crow was born on August 9, 1987, in Fort Yates, ND, the daughter of Philomene Callousleg and was raised by Cecil White Bull Jr., whom she considered her Father. She lived in many places throughout her life, finally settling in Selfridge where she graduated, being valedictorian for the class of 2006. She loved working outdoors, planting trees for USDA in Selfridge, she was also a ranch hand for Fischers in Selfridge, she did excavating for a local company in Mandan, ND. She also received her CNA license and worked for Circle of Life in Fort Yates, ND. She waitressed at various places, did housekeeping at Prairie Knights Casino & Resort. She was a cashier at Cenex in Selfridge and at Cenex in Mandan. Justine loved animals of all kinds, she had dogs and recently 5 bearded dragons and one iguana, whom she cared very much for like children. She loved to garden, plant flowers, trees, plants and breed insects for her babies. She also loved to be outdoors, camping, grilling, fishing, swimming, fixing her car, repairing various things. If it had to do with anything outdoors, she was game. She loved having family & friend get togethers. She was always willing to help anyone in need. No matter where she was or what she was doing, she was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved to laugh and joke around with everyone she know or just met. Even in her serious moments she would randomly bust out laughing because she thought of something funny. She had a smile that could light up a room. She is survived by her mother, Philomene Callousleg, 4 sisters, Virginia, Sundance, Dakota, Lakota; 5 brothers, Frank, Kevin, Lucas, Young Eagle “Hokie”, Joshua; 8 aunts, April, Nikki, Vera, Bernadine, Sugar, Gena, Geraldine & Pauline; 5 uncles, Jerry, Frank, Darrell, Freeman, David;also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, adopted families and all extended family on the Standing Crow side. Justine was preceded in death by her father, Cecil White Bull Jr, maternal grandmother, Virginia White Shield, maternal grandfather, Francis “Benny” Callousleg, aunts, Damita, Nonnie, Bennie, uncles, Beaver, Rocky, Eddie, Porky Cowboy and special uncle, Timmy Standing Crow, sister, Gina Marie Callousleg.
Friends wishing to join the procession from New Rockford to the Wake may gather on the St. Jerome's road, rural Ft.
