Terry Symonds
Terry Lewis Symonds, 63, New Rockford, ND died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the home he shared with his youngest son Preston.
Terry was born March 27, 1951 to Alfred Glenn Symonds and Daisy Katherine (Bates) Symonds. He was raised and attended school in Tooele, UT. He was an auto mechanic in Tooele, UT and American Samoa for most of his life, switching to construction in the last ten years in New Rockford, ND and Meadow Lake, AK. Terry was united in marriage to his first wife Linda McCleery on August 15, 1975. They had three children from this union, Terry Justin, Joey, and Melia Symonds, they divorced in 1981. Terry later married Mildred Monette Proctor on September 3rd, 1983 in Anchorage, AK. They had one son, Preston. Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with his family. Terry lived in American Samoa for 13 years as an auto mechanic and enjoyed the simple life of the Islands. In 2005 he moved to New Rockford, ND and lived there for ten years working for Linderman Construction. Terry and Mildred moved back to Big lake, AK in June 2011. He enjoyed spending time with all of his children and grandchildren and taking his companion Buster (beloved dog) for rides. Terry was a kind man that welcomed anyone and everyone into his home and heart. He was loved by everyone he met.
Terry is survived by his wife: Mildred Monette Symonds of Big lake, AK; his children: Joey Symonds, Melia (Ryan) Johnson, Preston (Sabrina) Symonds, and his beloved dog Buster Symonds; his grandchildren: Ashton Symonds; Lanie, Maci, Zoe Johnson; his step-children: Terry (Nikki) Sudbury, Grant (Tawna) Sudbury, Cascendra (Wayne) Lester, Marinda (Dan) Corun, Trinity (Justin) Evans, and Zachariah Jackson, and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. his brothers, Glenn (Smiley) Symonds, Neal (Sherrie) Symonds, Norman Symonds, Ferris (Nancy) Symonds, and sisters, Iris Tucker, Shirley Kelly, and Carma (Fred) Darr. Many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father -in-law, and his oldest son, Terry Justin Symonds. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE: New Rockford Evangelical Free Church DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4:30PM - 6:30PM

Message: Terry was a wonderful man and the greatest father-in-law I could have ever hoped for. He was always there with a helping hand or comment. He helped us through a lot and he loved to love us. He is deeply missed every day. My love to Preston, Ashton, and Mom as we all try to make it through the days. Love heals and helps us all through.
