Blisse Thompson, age 22 of St. Michael, ND, died Monday, September 8, 2014, near her family home in St. Michael.

 

Blisse Mae Thompson was born August 18, 1992 at Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Ambrose and Adele (Shaw) Thompson, Jr. She attended grade school in Warwick, ND, and high school at Devils Lake High School and 4 Winds of Ft. Totten, ND.

 

She worked at Spirit Lake Casino, Ft. Totten, prior to moving to Minneapolis, MN,  where she became a QSP/CNA.

 

Blisse is survived by her parents Ambrose and Adele Thompson Jr; brothers Dustin (Melanie) Dunn Sr., Michael Dunn Sr., and Ambrose Thompson III; sisters Tannis Shaw and Brisa Jade Thompson; aunts Angela (Murle) Richotte, Germaine (Arnie) Calf Boss Ribs, Anna Thompson, Salina Horse, Marcella Thompson, Delphine Thompson, Tia (Randy Miller) Harrison, Robin Harrison, Blossom Harrison, Roxanne Harrison, Magdaline Harrison, Madaline Harrison; uncles Gerard (Alice) Thompson, Myron (Beth) Harrison Sr., Lyle Harrison, and Delbert Harrison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; her adopted brother Gabe Longtail; grandparents Joe (Carol) Herman Sr, Estelle & John Hennager, Zachery Thompson, Marceline St. Pierre and Catherine Howard; god-parents Myron Harrison Sr, and Madaline Harrison; and her special friend, David Macias.

 

She was preceded in death by grandparents Roger and Patty Shaw, Ambrose Thompson Sr, Irene Leftbear, Floyd “Pa Cakes” McKay, cousin Luanna Chaske, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

If we left anyone out, it was not intentional, please forgive us at this time of grief.

 

WAKE SERVICE:

Begins at 5PM Thursday in the Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael, ND.

Friends may gather on the St. Jerome's road at Crow Hill for the

procession to St. Michael at 4:45PM Thursday

VIGIL SERVICE:

Thursday at 8PM in the Tekakwitha Center

FUNERAL SERVICE:

Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael, ND

Message: Adele and Ambrose and families, I am so sorry about Blisse. nina cante masica. She was my student at Four Winds. She was so smart and could make me laugh. One Christmas she gave me a musical card that played "Feliz Navidad." Also, I always remember how much I enjoyed talking with Adele and Ambrose whenever I saw them, and I am heartbroken for you both.
