Tim Short, age 57, of McHenry, ND, died Friday, August 20, 2010, at his home.

Timothy Cordell Short was born on March 4, 1953, the son of Rutherford and Deana (Vining) Short at Kensal, ND. He was raised and attended school at McHenry, ND. Tim was an over the road truck driver, farmed with his brother, Dave, raised cattle for a time, and worked at Melroe in Cooperstown.

On April 4, 1985, Tim was united in marriage to Janet Hoyt at Cooperstown, ND. Tim was most recently employed at the Schiltz Goose Farms near Tolna, ND.

He enjoyed reading, fishing, and hunting with his son, Tyler, and his nephew and best friend, Terry Short. He loved spending time with family and friends- especially being “Graypa� to his 2 ½ year old grandson, Nathan. Tim will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend.

Tim is survived by his wife, Janet, Cooperstown, ND; three daughters, Dawn (Lawrence) Straley, South Haven, MN, Taunya (Kevin) Hegyi, Minneapolis, MN, and Kasey Short, Cooperstown, ND; eight grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, Abbey, Oliver, Coleman, Carter, Cody, and Nathan; two brothers, Dave Short, McHenry, ND, and Terry (Shirley) Short, Cooperstown, ND; five sisters, Maxine (Lawrence) Olson, Pelican Rapids,MN, Roberta Williams, New Rockford, ND, Linda Somerville, Minnewaukan, ND, Judy (Glenn) Cudworth, New Rockford, ND, and Ruth Zidon, Dilworth, MN.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tyler; parents, and four brothers, Kendall, Doug, Brian, and Jack.
