Kathryn Wolf

Kathryn Wolf, age 50, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Cavalier, ND, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 12, 2015, at her home in Las Vegas. Kathryn Marie Manley was born July 24, 1964, in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of John and Shirley (Schlesser) Manley. She attended school in Pingree, ND, graduating in May of 1982. Kathy then moved to Wahpeton, ND, where she immediately began her secondary education by attending the North Dakota State School of Science. On March 5, 1983, Kathryn was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Wolf with nuptials being shared at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Pingree, ND. In the summer of 1983, Kathryn graduated and so proudly attended the NDSSS ceremonies alongside her mother, Shirley, as they both became Licensed Practical Nurses together. Ken and Kathy began their lives together in Fargo, ND, where she worked primarily at Bethany Homes. In 1989, they moved to Cavalier, ND, where she worked at the Cavalier Hospital, Wedgewood Manor, Altru Clinic and Midgarden Clinic. In June of 2011, Kathryn and Ken relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where she continued her nursing career at Southwest Medical Associates. Kathy and Ken were blessed with two beautiful children, Jeremy and Kayla; they were her pride and joy. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was filled with passion to help others, guiding her to nursing, her true calling. Patients often became her personal friends because she went the extra mile for so many, helping in any way she could. Kathy was loved by so many. Her giving personality and welcoming smile touched everyone she met. Her strong work ethic and faith in God showed in her volunteer work with Helping Hands and Hospice Care. She is survived by her father, John Manley of Carrington; her husband, Ken Wolf of Las Vegas; son, Jeremy (Christina) Wolf of Healy, AK; daughter, Kayla Wolf of Las Vegas; two grandchildren, Savannah and Jeremy John Wolf Jr. of Healy, AK; two brothers, Mike (Kim) Manley of Morrill, NE, Steve (Robbin) Manley of Jamestown; four sisters, Betty (Duane) Price of Price, ND, Mary (Andy) Anderson of Jamestown, Julie Mogard of Jamestown, Faith (Ron) Nord of Adams, ND, and sister-in-law, Marge (Pat) McFadden of Fergus Falls, MN. Kathryn was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Manley; a brother, Tom Manley; her mother-in-law, Delores Wolf and father-in-law, John Wolf; stepmother, Carol Brown; sister-in-law, Rita Harris; best friend, Teresa Hersch.

Message: Kathryn was truly a heart felt person, I worked with Kathryn @ Southwest Medical on Eastern and Harmon before she transferred to the other Southwest Medical facility to be closer to home and family. Kathryn always talked about how much she loved her husband, family and grand kids. She always showed me her family pictures. Kathryn was always willing to help. She never said no.
