Lisa Maxine Hoppe was born April 13, 1979, in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Charles Sr. and Maxine (Duda) Hoppe. Lisa grew up in Carrington and graduated from Carrington High School in 1997. She was very friendly and outgoing. Lisa enjoyed hanging out with her friends, and attending social events. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington. She moved to Laramie, WY, with Andrew Goter, where their first child Kristopher was born. She was united in marriage to Andrew on August 5, 2000, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington. In 2000, they moved to Bismarck, where MacKenzie was born in 2001. While in Bismarck she worked at the Eagles. Later Andrew and Lisa separated. She worked at Front Street Lighting, and One Source, where she enjoyed designing lighting plans. She even designed all of the lighting in her own house. She also worked at the book store at Bismarck State College. She married Loren Zuraff in 2007 and accomplished her dream of moving to Florida in 2014. The loves of Lisa’s life were her children and she would do anything for them. She was a very caring mother and also always loved to help others. Lisa loved spending time with her children, family and friends. Two of many things Lisa loved doing was sitting on her enclosed porch and watching the lake while she drank her coffee, and swimming in her pool. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and camping, as well as cooking. One of her favorite holidays was Christmas. She enjoyed driving around looking at all of the decorations, especially decorations and lights synchronized with music. She liked watching her soap operas and socializing on Facebook. She had several dogs throughout her life and loved all of them. Message: I was fortunate to work with Lisa at Bismarck State College. My favorite days were the ones I got to see her on our tour route. Lisa made every student and their family feel welcome at the bookstore, and treated each student like they were part of her family. She always had a smile or a joke for students, and was there for 'mom' advice whenever they needed it. Thinking of you all as you celebrate her extraordinary life.

Message: Lisa, I still can't believe this! Instead of flying out on Thursday to spend a week with you, I will be coming to your funeral instead for vacation!!! I have known Lisa for many years now and I truly don't believe I have ever met such a caring person, as beautiful on the inside as on the outside!!! Lisa had the ability to touch every ones heart whom she met! From watching her grow up and becoming friends with her, I have never seen her hurt anyone!!! My thoughts and prayers are with her family now in this sad, tragic time. Lisa - you always felt you were the caterpillar, but you were the most beautiful butterfly!!! Fly now on God's wings and know you will be forever missed!!!!!
