Gary Kautzman
Gary Kautzman, age 65, of Carrington, ND, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at his home under the care of Presentation Hospice.
Gary Lee Kautzman was born April 19, 1944, in Carrington, ND, the son of Innocent & Fawn (Page) Kautzman. He grew up in Carrington and graduated from Carrington High School. He worked for Gambles Hardware Store in Carrington for over 20 years. Gary then worked various jobs, including at Dakota Growers Pasta, until his retirement. On April 8, 1967, Gary was united in marriage to Verna Miller at Carrington. Gary loved tools and collected them over the years. He also enjoyed woodworking. He was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington. Gary is survived by his wife Verna; one daughter Brenda Jones, Fargo, ND; one son Patrick (Stephanie), Fargo; his mother, Fawn Kautzman, Carrington; one sister, Gloria Hafner, Sykeston, ND; and five grandchildren: Casey & Ryan Jones, Jacob, Abby and Ellery Kautzman. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Patrick, and one brother-in-law, Gary Hafner.
