Marion Gedrose was born July 15, 1931, on the family homestead near Barlow. She was one of nine children born to Edward and Clara (Gudmestad) Gedrose. She attended school in rural Pleasant Prairie and Brantford.

Marion was united in marriage to Milton Omoth on January 8, 1950 in New Rockford, ND. They farmed in the New Rockford area until 1967. They then lived in Whitefish, MT, Casselton and Velva, ND, before returning to New Rockford in 1982.

She managed the Phillips 66 Café in New Rockford, ND, for many years. Marion also worked at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd and the Eddy County Social Services until her retirement.

Marion and Milton had four children, two daughters; Peggy and Kathryn, and two sons; Jim and Kevin.

She had a love for her family. Marion also enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, cooking, baking and her special cat Princess. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church and belonged to Rachael Circle & Tiffany Homemakers.

Marion is survived by her husband of 59 years Milton, two sons; Jim and Kevin (Karen) Omoth, both of New Rockford, ND, one daughter; Peggy (Ken) Irmen, Bismarck, ND, ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one sister Jean (Burton) Vrem, Valley City, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathryn, three brothers; Elvin, Art, Gordon, four sisters; Gladys French, Christine Klein, Thelma Burndt, and Esther Peterson.
