Mary Helen Sinkler
Mary Sinkler, age 88, of New Rockford, ND, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Mesa Christian Health, Mesa, AZ, after living a life of giving, caring and compassion.
Mary Helen Holth was born September 13, 1920, in Barlow, ND, the daughter of John and Tressa Holth. She grew up at Barlow and attended school there. She was united in marriage to Orley B. Sinkler on May 31, 1941, at New Rockford, ND. Mary spent most of her life as a seamstress, as she loved to sew for everyone in town who needed her skills. She also enjoyed needlework. Mary had worked as a morning cook at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, until she was age 85. Mr. Sinkler died February 21, 1981. The majority of her family was fortunate to have her come to Arizona to visit them in October of this year before she became ill during the visit. Mary leaves behind a multitude of family and friends who loved her, including a son, Orley (Julie) of Queen Creek, AZ; a daughter Dafny Sinkler of Lake Mary, FL; three grandchildren, Jarid Sinkler of Chandler, AZ, Tara Feldner of Queen Creek, AZ, and Koshanna Sinkler of Lake Mary, FL; two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Kaiya Sinkler both of Chandler, AZ; and a brother, Louis Holth of Tacoma, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Fred, Norman & Roy Holth; a sister Theresa; and three half sisters, Agnes, Caroline & Margaret.
