Patricia Roundy
Patricia “Pat� Roundy, age 67, of Carrington, ND, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at MedCenter One in Bismarck, ND. Patricia Ann Chaffin was born on March 20, 1943, the daughter of Cal and Arvella (Hart) Chaffin in On August 22, 1962, Pat was united in marriage to Douglas Roundy at the United Methodist Church in Aberdeen. They lived in East Grand Forks, MN, moved to Madison, SD, and in 1966, to Carrington, ND, where they made their home. She was President of the Jayceetes, Secretary for the local Lions Club, Information Technology for the 5 NE State Lions Club and an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Carrington. Pat worked at Montgomery Ward for a number of years in Carrington. She returned to college at NDSSS in Wahpeton, ND and earned a LPN Nursing Degree. She worked at Carrington Hospital in the Holy Family Villa and at Golden Acres Manor for a number of years. She returned to Carrington Health Center and finished her career there. One of her passions was Web Design. She designed several area business web pages. Pat will be remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Doug; a son, Troy( Sheryl) Roundy; a daughter, Trish (Dallas) Beckman; two grandsons, Tyler Beckman and Cameron Roundy; two granddaughters, Brittney Roundy and Emily Beckman; and mother-in-law, Ellen Nellis, all of Carrington; two sisters, Carol (Kenneth) Axemaker of Wasilla, AK, and Wendy (Richard) Desjarlais of Johnson City, TN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family would prefer memorials in lieu of flowers.
